The Department of Long-Term Care and Management was founded in 2015. In order to react to the increasing policies of long-Term care (LTC) and the longer lifespan of people nowadays, the Department aims to equip our students with both professional knowledge and practical experiences.

The curricula provide both theoretical and practical courses, such as Care Skills, Institutional Management, and Service Management. Our courses help students to obtain the comprehensive knowledge about care policy planning, institutional management services, industrial development and health propaganda for long-term care. We have also had a two-stage internship for our students. Sophomores must take the course to become professional trainees first, and then they will be assigned into an internship program in their senior year. The internship will improve students’ management practices and interdisciplinary integration skills.

Research Focus
  1. Through both local and overseas trips, the students may conduct long-term care-related studies and exchanges.
  2. Through empirical learning and validation, to enhance students’ knowledge in developing long-term care competency.
  3. To encourage teachers and students to form a joint-research group to improve research skills through practical experiences.
